Sony ZV1

Before I went to Cape Town, I knew that I needed a small, portable, point and shoot camera for making vlogs, because I was not about to be that stereotypical Asian tourist with a camera.

I had been eyeing the Sony ZV1 for awhile due to the way it was optimised for video creators. Stabilisation, great audio, flip out screen, automatically turning off when you flip the screen back, as well as the ability to use it as a webcam for my computer via a single cable.

The price however, was what made me hesitate for about a year.

This is an example of an item that I knew I wanted, but still waited a few months anyway to check if I really wanted it a few months later, and turns out that I did indeed want one.

I managed to get a set second-hand for a lower price, that even came with an extra battery, although I haven’t exactly had problems with battery life despite what the reviews have said.

The camera has served me very well so far, and I don’t really have any complaints.

I would pay a lot of money to have a camera this size that shot GH5 quality video, but I guess technology isn’t moving that quick.
